Important visitor information for your visit to Art Fair Philippines 2025

Venue

This year marks a big change for Art Fair Philippines as it bids goodbye to its former home at The Link. All exhibits, shows, and talks will take place at the Ayala Triangle Gardens and the surrounding Ayala Triangle buildings.

Despite being in the Ayala Triangle Gardens, you and most of the art you will be viewing won't be exposed to the elements. Ventilated tents scattered throughout the lawn of the Ayala Triangle will house most of the gallery exhibits and part of the ArtFair PH/Projects exhibition.

Art Fair PH/ Digital

If you prefer art that fuses creativity and technology, then Art Fair PH/Digital is the section for you. This section is specifically for art that incorporates and engages with computer technology, animation, virtual or augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse.

At the center of this year's exhibit is Chia Amisola's KAKAKOMPYUTER MO YAN (That's what you get for using the computer!), a collaborative exhibition showcasing internet art and the third-world online experience.

In addition to Amisola, motion graphics artist and engineer Isaiah Cacnio will also be on display, featuring his creative storytelling through digital artwork exploring light, movement, and space.

A section called Screenings at the Amphitheater will also feature more animated and digital work set up in the outdoor tiered space adjacent to the lawn of Ayala Triangle Gardens.

Art Fair PH/ Film

The centerpiece of this year's Art Fair PH/ Film exhibition will be award-winning director J Pacena's Kono Basho. This film is about a young Filipino-Japanese woman who travels to Japan for her estranged father’s funeral and experiences connecting with his Japanese family, especially her half-sister. If it sounds familiar, this might be because the film was also included in Cinemalaya's 2024 lineup.

Another must-not-miss screening at Art Fair PH/Film is The F.A.T. Boys!! Episode 1: Each One Teach One shot by American director Drew Milo. It stars two friends, Mr. StarCity and Splashman LV, in their travels. This premiere episode was shot during their trip through the Philippines last year. It features Toby Tamayo, an environmentalist based in La Union, who welcomes the duo into his home and takes them through land he has reforested throughout the last decade with flora and fauna indigenous to the Philippines.

Art Fair PH/ Talks

ArtFairPH/Talks offers fair visitors opportunities to deepen their art experience with a series of talks, panel discussions, workshops, and performance art that provides insight into artists’ works and lives, art forms, artistic processes, collectors and their interests, and other aspects of today’s complex art world.

ArtFairPH/Talks will explore a diverse range of topics, including insights into the featured artists' practices, contemporary art programming, the landscape of digital art collecting in the Philippines, and many more. For example, an ArtFairPH/Talks must-not-miss program for 2025 is a panel discussion on collection management from a collector’s perspective. This will be presented in partnership with Larry's List, the world's leading art market knowledge company that provides data, research, and access to contemporary art collectors.

Art Fair PH/ Photo

Art Fair PH/Photo is the main photography exhibition at Art Fair Philippines. This year, the section is organized by FotoMoto, an organization of visionary photographers, artists, curators, and writers dedicated to promoting Philippine photography.

This year, curator Cocoy Lumbao came in to put the show together and will feature works from Tom Epperson, Andrew Shima, Jason Quibilan, Artu Nepomuceno, Benjo Campomanes, Geloy Concepcion, Pia Mercado, and many more.

10 Days of Art

Prior to and during Art Fair Philippines, several locations in Makati will also feature special art installations in a complementary exhibition called 10 Days of Art.

From February 14 to 23, look for a host of art displays in various public spaces, such as outdoor sculptures by Briccio Santos at Legazpi Park, an immersive and experiential installation by Kim Borja at Glorietta, and JEFRË’s Talking Heads at Circuit Makati.

Additionally, Makati's Legazpi Underpass, Paseo-Villar Underpass, and the Greenbelt 3 Sunken Park will also be temporary exhibit spaces for Fotomoto Photography, TYLR Collective, and Neal Oshima.

Art Fair Philippines 2025 will be at the Ayala Triangle from February 21 to 23. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit Art Fair Philippines' website.
