LOOK: IKEA's First Plan & Order Store Opens in the North

(SPOT.ph) Finally. Finally. Finally. There's no need for our North friends to go far down South to shop IKEA's collections and services because Swedish furniture retailer has opened their doors to a quaint outpost in TriNoma. It's not just any branch, but the first one to have the Plan & Order format in the Philippines. We got to visit the store during its opening day, and of course, we're taking you along with us. Just a heads up, though, there are no meatballs here.

Northies can save time and, most importantly, gas with this much nearer IKEA spot, located on the first level of the TriNoma mall. This branch spans a few stores, 500 square meters to be exact, where customers in the area can plan, order, and shop IKEA's range. Think of this outpost as their Pasay flagship's child, or a gateway, at least to what the flagship in Pasay has to offer.

It has the essential home items, plus a few showrooms to help you visualize your dream spaces. And yes, even making them come to life, because the main highlight of this spot is the consultation and planning service for kitchen cabinets and wardrobes for bedrooms and living rooms. There's a dedicated space where you can sit down with IKEA's design specialists to actualize your vision.

Since there are products on display, feel free to take photos of said products to reference later on. Then, if you've decided that you want to buy it, take a photo of the price tag or use the IKEA Store app (available for download on Google Play and App Store) to create your shopping list. Oh, do keep an eye out for the colored part of the price tags to determine pick-up locations or to contact staff. They also have WiFi on-site to make your shopping easier.

While it does not literally carry all the collections like the flagship store in Pasay, you can still browse and order from the full IKEA range of more than 8,500 articles here and have them delivered to the store. We spotted more of the smaller pieces and essentials inside, like select cooking and eating accessories, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, utensils, and other food storage. They can also take away items in the curated displays on the same day, IKEA Philippines Country Retail Manager Ricardo Pinheiro said.

This spot supports digital and card transactions only. They have self-payment booths that accept cashless options like Mastercard, Visa, PayMaya, Alipay, GrabPay, and GCash. They have flexible payment options, and, of course, you have 365 days to return your purchase in case you change your mind.

The first PH IKEA Plan and Order shop is located on Level 1, TriNoma Mall, North Avenue corner EDSA, Quezon City. You can also check out IKEA's full range of collections online through the IKEA Philippines website.

According to the site, the plan and order shop is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday to Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday to Sunday. Their planning service is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday to Thursday, and 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday to Sunday.
